Lunchtime seminar – Successful strategies and current trends in advocacy Undertaken by individuals or organizations, advocacy aim to influence public-policy and resource allocation within political, economic and social circles. In a highly competitive environment to get air space, advocacy has now become a central function within private sector companies, NGOs and international institutions. Lutz Meyer and Christophe Lécureuil from LEIDAR will take you through advocacy strategies and techniques that result in successful outcomes, but also reflect on current trends. Date: Friday 11 November 2011 Lutz Meyer specializes in developing and managing global communications strategies at LEIDAR. Christophe Lécureuil is a senior communications and public affairs practitioner, with 20 years of corporate, consultancy, institutional and NGO experience at the international level, responsible for leading public affairs programmes at LEIDAR. Both are lecturers at the newly created Executive Certificate in Advocacy in International Affairs offered by the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, set to commence in January 2012.
