Graphic facilitator wanted for workshop in Geneva, May 17-19, 2010

The Smiling Children Foundation / WomenChangeMakers’ program are looking for an experienced graphic facilitator for an event we are holding in May in Geneva, most likely from 17-19 May. The workshop will bring together about 8 social entrepreneurs, mostly women, who will discuss ways in which our WomenChangeMakers program can be of added value to emerging social entrepreneurs around the world. We are looking for someone who has experience in working with multi-cultural groups on women’s issues or social issues.

The workshop will be held in English and the participants come from all parts of the world. Fee: CHF 500/day, meals and refreshments included, as well as a unique experience with an outstanding group of persons.

About the event:
How do companies report on business and human rights? What are the trends? How can companies improve their understanding and why should they publicly disclose policies and practices relating to human rights? What are the implications for what and how companies communicate with their stakeholders?

You will have the chance to hear the findings of a recent report analyzing 57 sustainability reports from companies representing a range of industry sectors. A representative from ABB and Nestlé will comment and highlight selected examples of corporate human rights reporting.

Web content editor wanted urgently for international organisation in Geneva – 4 month maternity replacement

PreventionWeb at UNISDR www.preventionweb.net is urgently looking for a content editor for a four month maternity replacement. This will be
a consultancy contract with the following duties:

Assist in the management of the daily content update on PreventionWeb in Geneva to ensure the timely provision of relevant and reliable
disaster risk reduction (DRR) information to the multi-stakeholder DRR community, including content research, selection and production.

Assist in the application and development of standards for abstract writing complementary to UN/ISDR library cataloguing standards.
Prepare abstracts, captions, and descriptions of DRR information by PreventionWeb content type, including partner/source organizations.

Assist in monitoring developments and identifying information needs and gaps.

Support client outreach efforts including source development and validation (PreventionWeb Contact Database: partner organization
validation project).
