Presentation & Apero: Long Tail – The End of Mass Markets?

Arvetica, the Geneva business strategy consultants are offering an “Arveticast” (presentation and apero) on the evening of Thursday 15 February 2007 on the subject of the very popular business book “The long tail –  why the future of business is selling less of more”:

Alex (of Arvetica) will briefly explain the concept of the long tail and focus on its implications for executives and the businesses they manage. In a nutshell, the Long Tail explains that profits are increasingly made in a mass of niche markets as opposed to markets dominated by blockbuster products for mass markets.

Feedback – Geneva Roundtable – 14 November 2006

We received very good feedback from participants of the November Roundtable which we have analysed and pulled out some key findings, such as:

 – the event was well appreciated by most participants
– marketing and communications professionals made up 46% of the audience
– more time was needed for networking
– the event format was not sufficiently interactive for participants
– the panel was seen by some participants as being of a varied level
– participants would like the following topics to be addressed in future events: international communications, media relations, evaluation and measurement.

A summary of the findings are available:
