Corporate Human Rights Reporting: An Analysis of current trends

Dr. Liz Umlas and Salil Tripathi will discuss some recent trends in human rights reporting, highlighting selected examples of innovative reporting on the subject, as well as key areas where further work is still needed.

Guest speakers: Dr. Liz Umlas, author of a recent report on corporate human rights reporting and independent researcher specializing in human rights and Salil Tripathi, Policy Director of Institute for Human Rights and Business in London, internationally recognized specialist in the field.

The talk will be moderated by Tony Burgener, Director, Senior consultant at Burson-Marsteller in Geneva.

When: On Wednesday, 13 January, 2010, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm

UK government campaign for better business communication

Following the publication of the The MacLeod Review, which stated that British firms needed to improve engagement levels to improve business performance, the British Government’s Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) has launched a new campaign called: ‘People InterAction’.

The aim of the new campaign is to inspire action in employee engagement amongst employers of all types and sizes, clearly highlighting the link between effective internal communications and business success.

GCN Christmas Apéro Wrap-up
