GCN Christmas Apéro

Dear Communicators,

A year has passed since our official launch as the Geneva Communicators Network. In 2009 we organised 4 lunch events and 2 apéros and our network has grown to over 600 members. To celebrate this milestone we would like to invite you for a Christmas drink on Tuesday 15 December at the Lola bar in the Paquis, Geneva.

When: Tuesday 15 December 2009 at 18.30

Where: Lola, Rue de Richemont 7-9, Paquis (Next to Le Comptoir restaurant)

GCN apero follow up

Thank you to the 45+ Communicators who attended our last apero at the Chateau des Penthes. The beautiful setting was ideal for networking. A few photos have been uploaded to our flickr account.

Final GCN Networking Apero before the Summer Holidays – 9 July 2009 at 18h30

Dear GCN members,

In the last months we have welcomed many new members to the GCN. To give everyone a chance to mingle before jetting off for the summer holidays, we are pleased to invite you to a ‘Geneva Communicators Apéro”.

Considering the optimal weather conditions, we have decided to hold the apéro at the Chateau des Penthes, just up the road from the UN and the ICRC and across from the US Mission in Geneva.

When: Thursday, 9 July 2009, from 18h30 onwards
Where: Chateau des Penthes, 18 chemin de l’Impératrice, 1292, Pregny-Chambésy, Geneva Chateau des Penthes, see map (pdf)
Format: Socialising and networking AND drinks and tapas!

GCN Apéro report

Last night some 30 members gathered for the second Geneva Communicators Apéro at the ‘Soleil Rouge’.

The rich taste of Spanish wines provided the perfect intimate ambiance to meet old friends as well as some newcomers, such as an American colleague who just recently settled in Geneva and found this the perfect place to get in touch with peers.

Some people were looking for communication jobs in the non-profit sector, others asked about where to find best public relations training. One participant is leaving for Costa Rica to gather material for his latest book and an architect from Lausanne said he had come because communication needs to be part of his professional interest. We all left into the windy Spring night looking forward to the next event.

GCN Networking Apéro – Monday 23 March 2009

Following the success of the first ‘The Geneva Communicators Apéro’ last December (over 80 people attended), we invite you to a second informal socialising and networking event for communication professionals working in the Geneva region.
When: Monday, 23 March 2009, from 18h30 onwards

Format: Just socialising and networking!
