Lunchtime seminar – SELF Branding: When who you are is what makes the difference

Everyone knows what a brand is and what are the elements that make a marketing campaign successful. Now, let’s take a look at yourself. But are you aware of how you come across? Do you know what aspects of yourself people remember when you leave the room? Whether you’re job hunting, a student, or gainfully employed, your personal brand is key to effective interpersonal communication, positive results and… reputation.

Self Branding is all about who you are, what you want to be known for and how you want to be remembered. Our dynamic speaker, Carolina Rodriguez Barros, will talk about the key elements for successful SELF Branding and she will break down the process for building your brand into a few easy steps. She promises to leave us all with a lot of food for thought.

Date: Friday 1 February 2013
Time: 12h30 to 14h00
Location: The Swiss Press Club, Route de Ferney 106, La Pastorale, 1202 Geneva.

After a 10-year international career developing markets and positioning for premium Argentinean products, she realised that her passion is to help people to express themselves in creative and effective ways. She founded Dare to Glow in Geneva where she facilitates workshops, seminars and private consultations since 2008. Her passion for creativity and self-expression led her to write “Reflections: how you see yourself and how others see you”, an e-book to be launched in March of this year.

Lunchtime seminar – The power of Inspiration: Where successful communication comes from

News on our next lunchtime seminar:

Communicators are always trying to master the newest medium of mass communication. Social media is the most recent. But there is a fundamental level of communication that surpasses every medium and essentially communicates messages on its own. How can we achieve inspiring communication no matter what medium we are using?

Our speaker, Keith S. Collins, will talk about the qualities of successful communication that make people want to do the right thing without feeling they are pushed into it, and cite examples where communication inspired and where opportunities were missed.

Date: Friday 2 November 2012
Time: 12h30 to 14h00
Location: The Swiss Press Club, Route de Ferney 106, La Pastorale, 1202 Geneva.
Fee: CHF 15.- per person includes drinks and snacks – payable at the door.

Keith S. Collins is a writer, editor and communications consultant in Geneva. Over a 25-year career he has helped corporations, non-profit organizations, trade associations, universities and UN entities find ways to communicate their ideas effectively. His interest in inspiration and communication led him to write “The Christian Science Monitor: Its History, Mission and People“, published in March of this year. He teaches a graduate course on “Media Industry: Strategies and Influence” at the International University in Geneva.

Places are limited due to the venue size, so please register early for the event.
